Welcome to the Mining Engineering Society (MineSoc)!

The Mining Society (MINESOC) is a faculty recognised, student run society at the University of Wollongong for those studying Mining Engineering and other related engineering degrees. The UOW Mining Society aims to provide students with the abilities and resources they need to have a successful career in the Mining and Minerals Industry.

By being a member of the society, students are able to partake in the events held throughout the year. Our main event is our ‘Vac’ Night in which other students explain how they gained industry work experience as well as their experiences and learnings. Events are also held to network with other UOW students and with UNSW Mining Engineers encouraging a wider range of communication skills and networking abilities.
