The Student Health Alliance for Rural Populations (SHARP) is the Rural Health Club of the University of Wollongong (UOW) in NSW, Australia. We have a uni-wide members base, united by a passion for rural and Indigenous health.

The Student Health Alliance for Rural Populations (SHARP) is the Rural Health Club (RHC) of the University of Wollongong (UOW). SHARP is a multi-disciplinary student network, with over 1000 members studying from the disciplines of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Indigenous Health, Medical and Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology, Public Health, and Social Work.

SHARP is proud to be one of 28 RHCs nationally as part of the National Rural Health Student Network (NRHSN). Like all RHCs, SHARP aims to promote rural and remote practice to our members through cultural awareness training, professional development activities, rural experience weekends, and rural health conferences.

Membership is free and open to all students at UOW.
