Clubs Day went indoors this year after stormy weather inundated the Illawarra region last week and dark clouds menaced the UOW grounds. Spirits remained high however as nearly 100 clubs set up offering plenty of fun activities, nibbles and drinks. A few entertainment highlights include UOW Music Society drawing in crowds with their sweet melodies and Groove Central’s pop and lock dance floor. Students were able to blend their own smoothies with some fast spin-bike peddling with UOW Illawarra Public Health Society, UOW Food Enthusiast Society spiced up the air with freshly-cooked paella and UOW Physics Society kept students mystified utilising science to create ice-cream on the spot. Over 1600 students signed up over the event which started at 11am and ended at 2pm. Thanks to all who were involved and congratulations to all clubs for such a successful day!
