The club put an enormous amount of effort into catering to students from all backgrounds this year, as well as hosting events that encourage community members and others to learn more about Biology.
BioNet facilitated learning through peer-facilitated study sessions with academics and demonstrators, the insect biodiversity workshop and the plant-collecting workshops. They also assisted members with professional development through the Taronga Zoo wildlife reproduction and captive breeding workshop and Science and Schooners networking sessions. BioNet ran a community screening of a series of science-themed films for National Science Week this year and collaborated with a number UOW clubs in many of their events.
BioNet will be holding its second Annual Biology Student Conference in November and is continuing its online speed Date-A-Scientist series.
Congratulations BioNet on your well-deserved award and for such a successful year!
