O-week this year saw a mass influx of new and current students checking out UOW’s range of club stalls, non-stop live music, Pool Party, Movie Night, O-Party and overflowing amounts of freebies. Over 7,000 members were signed over the course of the three days to over 100 clubs, including 10 new clubs such as UOW Education Society and UOW Metalheads.
Festivities kicked off in traditional style on Tuesday with free fairy floss, snow cones and the famed Pool Party. UOW’s pool was transformed with a floating obstacle course, slip-and-slide, DJ tunes and totem tennis provided by UOW Tennis Club.
Wednesday brought in a new round of club stalls and free food with the Food Enthusiast Club sustaining students all day long with delicious nachos. The evening ended under the stars with a screening of “The Jungle Book” (2016) on the Duck Pond Lawn with Belgian waffles, lollies and free popcorn.
O-Week concluded with some sweet beats at Unibar as headliners Purple Sneakers and Special Guests OH YOU Dj’s kept the night going. Check out photos from the festivities on our ‘UOW Student Life’ Facebook page:
