For The Love of Our Future

The future is a beautiful thing full of limitless possibilities, however for those feeling the impacts of climate change, the future is beginning to look very differentIn 2015 AYCC launched its first ever peer-to-peer campaign “For the Love of the Reef’, and heaps of amazing people went without things they love - coffee, chocolate, beer - for two weeks in May.

For the Love of the Reef was pivotal to providing stable funding to help AYCC campaign three of the big four banks to rule out financing dangerous coal port expansion next to the Great Barrier Reef.In 2016 ‘For the Love Of” is back! From April 11-24th, we will be running an awareness and fundraising campaign called ‘For the Love of Our Future’.

For two weeks we will ask thousands of Australians to take on the challenge and to go without something that they love - coffee, chocolate, or beer - for two weeks for the love of their future.Together we’ll raise awareness and funds for national youth-led campaigns to reduce pollution and supercharge the transition to 100% renewables.So, ‘For the Love Of Our Future” and every generation after ours, go without something you love - coffee, chocolate, or beer - from April 11-24th!
