Open Table - 27th February 2008

On this date, Malaysian Association for Students set up a stall at the Duck Pond Lawn to recruit new members as well as to allow students to renew their memberships. Traditional games were introduced to new students, such as Batu Seremban and Congkak.

Autumn Session Welcoming BBQ - 16th of March 2008

On this date, MAS UOW had organised a BBQ gathering for its members at Stuart Park, North Wollongong. This event started from 10.30am and adjourned at 3pm. There were about 50 MAS members, and 17 non-members who attended the gathering and we managed to sell 29 shirts on that day.

Inter Club Conference (ICC) - 30th March 2008

On this date, Malaysian Students’ Council of Australia (MASCA) organised a conference gathering for its affiliated members at the meeting hall of University of New South Wales. This event started from 9.30am and adjourned at 3pm. The objective of ICC is to break the ice and unite each committee affiliated with MASCA as they will be working together organizing events for members throughout the year. ICC also provides a connection point between MASCA NSW, Malaysian Student Department (MSD) and the affiliated clubs where each clubs can voice out their problems and agendas to either MASCA or MSD. Overall, this is an event to have fun and meet new people.

Diversity Week - 2nd April 2008

This activity had achieved it objective with the help from the MAS committees and members who helped to make the cakes. University students now know a little bit more about Malaysia

Paintball Skirmish event - 26th April 2008

This event was organised at The Ultimate Skirmish Game, Helensburgh.. It started at 8am. There were 10 MAS members and 20 non-members that attended the event.

Annual Unicentre Cup event - 9th May 2008

This event was held by the UniCentre Clubs and Societies and sponsored by Lipton Ice Tea. There were 5 events: Futsal, Oztag, Badminton, Volleyball, and the Dodgeball. Even though MAS did not win in any of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, the members enjoyed themselves thoroughly, especially in the Badminton event. The Futsal, Oztag, Volleyball and Dodgeball events built teamwork and ultimately, relationship was strengthened amongst all members.

Open Table - 23rd July 2008

Meeting with Malaysian Students Department (MSD) NSW - 25th of July 2008

This event was held at the URAC conference room. It started at 11am, and adjourned at 1.30pm. Five MSD representatives were present to visit UOW. This activity has achieved its objective with the help of MAS committees. Representatives from MSD attending the meeting have further improve their relationship with the MAS members

Spring Session Welcoming BBQ - 2nd of August 2008

On this date, MAS UOW had organised a BBQ gathering for its members at Graduate House, Northfields Avenue. This event started from 10.30am and adjourned at 3 pm. There were estimated 60 MAS members and 15 non-members who attended the gathering. We managed to recruit another 7 members on that day, and sell 5 MAS shirts.

Annual Bowling Competition - 29th August 2008

This event was organised at Northern Bowl, Corrimal. It started at 7pm. There are 26 MAS members and 4 non-members that attended the event.

Hari Raya Celebration - 1st October 2008

This event was organised at the Botanical Gardens, Wollongong. It started at 11am. The attendance of MAS committees and its members at this event had improved the relationships between them.
